Just me, not a company
About
symetric started in February 2026 because I knew there was more going on with me than just “anxiety”. But all of my mental and physical symptoms felt too vague to describe properly to a clinician during a fifteen minute appointment.
So I built the app I needed. Not just another mood tracker, but something that could measure these aspects of my mind and body that I knew were related and would form a more complete picture if I could just get the data. Turn my subjective experience into something more objective. I’m not an app developer so I used AI to help build it, and iterate on it over and over again before it went on the app store in August 2026. Read exactly how AI was used.
I’ve used symetric myself, every day, since. That’s my story so far: one person, one very long streak of real use, and a handful of other alpha testers. No clinical trial (yet!). I’m also writing a proper case study for clinicians, more rigorous and more technical, which will live on the clinicians page once it’s ready. This page isn’t that, it’s just to give you the background on why the app exists.
If symetric ever shuts down, you’ll get reasonable advance notice and a chance to export everything first. That’s not just a hope, it’s written into the Terms of Use. Keep your own copy of anything that matters to you regardless, the same way you would with any single app.
